Terry Alford, Executive Director Speaks with WKBW TV Michael Wooten

The Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor Commission (MSAAHC) is proud to host Voices and Votes: Democracy in America, a compelling traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum on Main Street program, which is an outreach program that brings high-quality exhibitions and educational experiences to communities across America in partnership with state humanities councils. The exhibit will be on view at MSAAHC headquarters 119 Broadway from August 8 through September 19, 2025. The Voices and Votes exhibition includes: Historic and contemporary photographs, Archival and educational video content, Interactive multimedia kiosks and short games, Historical artifacts such as campaign buttons, voter registration material, and protest signs, Personal stories and reflections that highlight the evolution of civic participation in America. Exhibit hours Mon - Fri 11AM - 3PM
