There is no fee to participate in the market. Interested vendors should review our 2024 Vendor Agreement and fill out an application. If you have questions, you can reach out to  aclark@michiganstreetbuffalo.org for more information.

Tabling Opportunities

The Corridor welcomes nonprofits, community groups, and others to join us for tabling activities during the weekly farmers market! All groups are welcome to table with us any time during the market season, but we ask that you pay attention to the market schedule above to see if there is a specific day that fits your organization best. Please sign up for as many tabling days as you like.  In 2024, we are unable to provide additional tables and tents to our partners. We ask that if you register to become a tabling partner, you bring your own supplies.

Support Mrs. Frances Nash's Garden Basket

The new market aims to spur economic and community development by promoting local production of agriculture while addressing the health issues that stem from lack of healthy food options on the historic East Side of Buffalo. Our market is scheduled to take place every Tuesday from 4:30PM-6:30PM from May- October in the parking lot at 136 Broadway Ave.

Help support our vendors and customers when you donate today. All donations go to creating a thriving and inclusive farmers market. Your donation will be used to help reduce the cost of the products being sold, offer educational opportunities to our visitors, and ensure our market is a success!

Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses looking to partner with us as we start our new farmers market. By sponsoring Mrs. Frances Nash's Garden Basket, your organization has the opportunity to help support both our local farmers and the customers we are serving. Sponsorships support the distribution of vouchers to our customers to help reduce the cost of the products and educational programming related to healthy eating.

Get Involved

Individuals who would like to get involved are encouraged to reach out to the Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor Commission by calling 716-322-1002 or emailing aclark@michiganstreetbuffalo.org. We are looking for assistance to help plan our affordable farmers market for 2024, as well as volunteers looking to help distribute food this year. If you would like to volunteer to help distribute food this summer, please use the sign up link below.

History of Mrs. Frances Nash

The program is named after Frances Nash, wife of Rev. J. Edward Nash. After attending various health lectures, Mrs. Nash developed an interest in nutrition and  became an advocate for healthy eating. She became knowledgeable about vitamins, food-groups, proteins, and starches. In the 1940s, Mrs. Nash developed a large vegetable garden in the back of her home at 36 Potter Street. For many years this garden supplied the neighborhood and the Nash’s friends with organically grown foods.
