The Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor (MSAAHC) is proud to announce the unveiling of a new marker honoring the legacy of Mary B. Talbert on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025. This special occasion holds added significance, as it falls on the anniversary of Mrs. Talbert's birth - September 17, 1866. A pioneering civil rights leader, suffragist, and activist, Mary B. Talbert's life work continue to inspire generations. The new marker will stand as a lasting tribute to her impact on Buffalo, the nation, and the world.
