Educational Music Series

ree

Just because summer concerts have ended doesn’t mean the music has to stop.

The Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor (MSAAHC) is proud to unveil an Educational Music Series a dynamic program that will bring music and community dialogue to life. It will be hosted at the MSAAHC Visitors Center, located at 136 Broadway, a fully accessible venue with ample off-street parking.

Beginning Thursday, September 25, from 6–8 p.m., The Educational Music Series, will be led by stage veteran and historian Mary Craig. This engaging series explores the deep roots and intersections of gospel, jazz, and blues, blending historical perspective with live performances by some of the area’s most talented musicians.

The Weekly Educational Music Series invites audiences to carry the rhythm of summer into the fall, offering an intimate, enriching experience that highlights the artistry of musical greats like Wes Montgomery, Eubie Blake, Miles Davis, and many more. Admission is $10.00 per person.

Individuals interested in participating are encouraged to contact Paulette D. Harris, Programs Director.
