Free Workshop!

Arts for Learning teaching artist, Emma Brittain-Hardy will be leading an activity that invites children to explore the vibrant world of Gee's Bend quilts, renowned for their bold colors and unique geometric patterns. Using colorful fabrics, paper, and other craft materials, kids have the opportunity to design and assemble their mini quilts, fostering creativity, fine motor skills, and an appreciation for traditional art forms. This event not only encourages artistic expression but also educates kids about the rich heritage of African American quilting traditions, making it an enriching and fun-filled experience for young participants.
