Beacon of Hope
For over 150 years the Michigan Street Baptist Church has stood as a Beacon of Hope for Buffalo’s African American Community. A shelter for freedom seekers, a place of religious worship and the heart of the African American community, the Michigan Street Baptist Church is a historic treasure; while The Nash House Museum is a historic landmark that preserves the life of Rev. Nash, the longest serving pastor of the Church.

You are invited to attend Beacon of Hope, a joint fundraiser for the Buffalo Niagara Freedom Station Collation and the Michigan Street Preservation Corporation, owners of the Michigan Street Baptist Church and the Nash House Museum.

The event will begin on Thursday September 29 at 5:30 PM. The night will include music, food, and visits from historic characters from the Michigan Street Corridor. The event will conclude promptly at 7:30 pm.
